League leaders Fleetwood take on third-bottom Upper Eden at Melbourne Avenue in the North Lancashire/Cumbria league on Saturday.
The home side are unbeaten this season after claiming a last-gasp home draw last weekend against a well-organised Wigton side.
Upper Eden ended a run of four consecutive defeats last time out with their first win of the season at home to Trafford MV.
Player/coach Steve Woodburn is in no doubt teams will come to the Fylde coast with the added incentive of denting Fleetwood’s winning form.
“Upper Eden are another big, physical side and will set us another challenge. They will be looking to build on last weekend’s win but we will be ready. The lads have worked hard in training this week and we have confidence to take into the game.”
Woodburn is forced to reshuffle his line-up but welcomes back Tom Evans and hands starts to Jordan Brocklehurst and Chris Jones.
The injured Woodburn misses the game but will be hoping to see another good home attendance.
“Our support over the last few home games have been terrific and we hope to build on that again this weekend. It good seeing parents and youngsters from our mini and junior teams coming along to support the lads.”
Kick-off is 3pm and the bar opens at noon with live action on Sky Sports and BT Sport. Admission is £3 for adults and children are free.
