Third place Fleetwood host early league leaders Carlisle this Saturday in the North Lancs & Cumbria League.
Coach Steve Woodburn is looking forward to another tough test for his side who have won their opening two league games.
“It’s another tough test this Saturday. Carlisle were relegated and did pretty well at the bottom end of their league last season. I think they will expect to bounce back up and they’ve shown that form early on with two good wins. They’ve put plenty of points against the two teams they’ve met so far and that’s put on top of the league with 10 points.
“It will be a hard one for us but a game we are looking forward to after our last two successful results.”
“It’s still far too early in the season but it’s a table topping game on Saturday and it will set the tone for our next few games. Hopefully we will see a good crowd at Melbourne Avenue and we plan to put a good show on.”
The only absentee is likely to be Mike Kelly who picked up the opening-day man of the match award on his debut.
“Mike has a knee injury picked up at Workington but he is the only one who may be missing and I can cover for him if necessary. It’s a shame we lost him early on last weekend as he enjoyed a good game against Aspatria and the Carlisle game would suit his style of play.”
Kick-off at Melbourne Avenue is 3pm and entry is £3.00 which includes a match day programme. The bar is open from noon with live sports on Sky and BT.
