Dave coached the club during their most successful spell winning the North Lancs Cumbria league before promotion to level 6 - North West One where he masterminded victories over many clubs that on paper Fleetwood should have never beaten.

Dave gave the likes of David Fairbrother amongst other local lads chances in the first team to support their dreams of making it at a higher level, and was hugely respected by all at Fleetwood Rugby Club.
