Bob grew up in Fleetwood where he attended Fleetwood Grammar School and made his Fleetwood RUFC debut aged just 16 where he played in the front row until he joined the police force and was transferred to Bury where he spent most of his career.

Bob returned to Fleetwood upon his retirement from the police and could for many years be found at Melbourne Avenue supporting the green and golds on a Saturday afternoon along with the other members of our beloved "old farts"

Funeral arrangements are yet to be confirmed and will be announced in due course.
