All at Fleetwood Rugby Club are deeply saddened to hear of the sudden passing of former Fleetwood Player, Andy Burman.
Andy came to the club along with a number of Mount Vault lads in the mid 80's, who thought it would be fun to have a run around on Saturday afternoon, followed by a few drinks. But after a few games, along with a number of others, it wasn't long before the first team identified their potential. Andy went on to play in one of Fleetwood RUFC greatest achievements, winning the 1993 Provincial Cup at Twickenham.
Our condolences go out to Andy's family during this sad time.
A minutes silence will be observed at Saturdays 1st XV home game v Eccles as a mark of respect.
The funeral service is to be held on the 21st November at 1.30 at the United reformed church on Agnew Road and then onto Carleton Crematorium at 2:45pm followed by refreshments at the rugby club.
